¿Confianza?

A día de hoy la famosa prima de riesgo se situa en torno a los 500 puntos básicos.

Con datos como éste me viene a la memoria aquellos días en los que el actual partido en el gobierno, entonces en la oposición, proclamaba ante datos económicos similares que simplemente eran el resultado de la desconfianza de los mercados en Zapatero y su gobierno y que lo que España necesitaba era un gobierno (ellos por supuesto) que supiera generar confianza.

Pues bien, tras más de cuatro meses en el poder y una serie de reformas salvajes que lo único que han generado han sido la reduccion masiva de derechos en el ámbito laboral y del estado de bienestar, parece ser que la confianza que, siempre según ellos, se iba a instalar en los mercados a su llegada al gobierno no sólo no ha sido tal sino que seguimos diariamente acongojados ante la realidad de los datos económicos.

Está claro que una cosa es estar en la oposicion y otra en el gobierno. Lo que no es admitible es que el PP durante su etapa en la oposición en lugar de haber apoyado al gobierno en su lucha contra la crísis económica utilizara la misma como herramienta para criticar al gobierno, haciéndole responsable de todos los males del país, y al servicio de sus intereses electorales.

Es más, cuando el mensaje lanzado se ha demostrado falso y la desconfianza en la economía española sigue provocando datos económicos caóticos, el gobierno calla. Eso sí, gracias a falsos mensajes como este han conseguido su objetivo, llegar al poder.

Para ello y como siempre, la caverna mediática, su fiel infantería, hizo suyo también ese falso mensaje como así lo demuestra las declaraciones de Cármen Tomás en Intereconomía, asegurando, antes de las elecciones, que Zapatero se llevaría consigo mas de “200 puntos básicos de la prima de riesgo”, para posteriormente declarar todo lo contrario en Telemadrid cuando una vez pasadas las elecciones la desconfianza en España seguía instalada en los mercados.

¿Trust?

Nowadays, the famous risk premium is around 500 basic points.

With this negative data, it comes to my mind those days in which the current government, the main opposition party at that moment, took advantage of any negative economic data to say that they simply were the result of the markets distrust in Zapatero and his government and it remarked that what Spain needed was a government (of course, they were talking about them) that knew how to create trust.  

Well, now and after more than four months in office and several and aggressive reforms passed in which important rights for the working class were eliminated and cuts in the welfare state were also established, it seems that trust not only hasn´t been achieved but we keep frightened every day as a result of the negative economic indicators.

It is clear that one thing is to be the opposition party and another thing is to be government.  However, what it cannot be tolerated is that the Popular Party ,before taking power,  instead of having supported the previous government, struggled by the economic crisis, it used this crisis to continuously criticize it and making it responsible for the situation. It is clear that it was a strategy to the service of its electoral interest.

Even more, when this message has been proven false and the distrust in the Spanish economy continues generating chaotic economic data, they now, once in office, keep silence.  However, thanks to this false message they have achieved their main goal: to take power.

On the above videos Rajoy said:  “Trust will solely be recovered when the government changes” or  “It is not Spain that creates distrust; it is Zapatero and its government who does it”.

Besides that, and as always, the conservative media, its loyal infantry, also assumed  this false message as it were its own. The best example is what Cármen Tomás said in Intereconomía TV by assuring, always before the general elections, that at the moment Zapatero leaved office the risk premium would be reduced to at least 200 basic points . Later on, and after the election put the Popular Party in office, she, without any blush, and when distrust kept installed in the markets, contradicted herself saying the opposite that she had previously said.
