Mediante dicho decreto para la renovación de estos cargos se necesitará exclusivamente la mayoria absoluta de miembros del Congreso en lugar de los dos tercios requeridos hasta ahora.
Con ello, el Gobierno sólo necesita de la mayoría de su grupo parlamentario para la elección de estos cargos que, cómo es lógico, seran ocupados por gente de su confianza y al servicio de sus intereses informativos. De este modo volveremos a los oscuros tiempos de la manipulación informativa con una televisión pública al servicio de los intereses del partido en el gobierno.
Ante la ola de profundas y antisociales reformas, el Gobierno allana el terreno para el control del ente público, control que le permita la tergiversación de la información que haga llegar al ciudadano.
Durante los últimos años, el ente público se ha caracterizado por ser un ejemplo de pluralidad e independencia informativa. Sin embargo, con este decreto volvemos a la mas pura inquisición informativa. En Madrid ya sufrimos a diario la lamentable manipulación informativa de Telemadrid (popularmente denominada Teleesperanza), un claro y abochornante ejemplo de televisión pública al servicio de intereses partidistas. Esto incluso ha llevado a sus trabajadores a unirse en una plataforma que lucha por la imparcialidad de la cadena: http://www.salvemostelemadrid.es/
No consintamos que RTVE se transforme de nuevo en el altavoz del gobierno como ya sucedió en los oscuros tiempos del urdaicismo y abogemos por su independencia y rigor informativo.

Spaniards, Urdaci is back!
The government has decided by decree to reform the way the President and counsellors from RTVE are appointed.
With this decree, to renovate these positions, just the vote of the majority of the members of Congress will be needed, instead of the two-thirds of them that were needed until now.
Consequently, now the government just need the majority of its own political group to fill out these positions that, as it is obvious, will be filled out by people ideologically identified with it and to the service of its political interest. As a result of it, we will be back to those dark times in which news were manipulated, being the public television a mere tool to the service of the government’s interest.
Now, when the government is approving a great variety of antisocial reforms, it also finds a way to control RTVE, that it will allow it to distort the information received by the citizen.
During the past years, the public television has been a clear example of plurality and impartiality. However, with this decree we go back to the purest inquisitorial media treatment. In Madrid, we daily faced this shameless media manipulation with Telemadrid (also known as Teleesperanza), a clear and embarrassing example of a public television to the service of a given political party’s interests. As a result of it, even its workers have joined themselves on a platform that fights for a real and impartial public television: http://www.salvemostelemadrid.es/.
We shall not allow that RTVE becomes again the speaker of the government as it happens before during the dark times of Urdaci. We must support an independent public television which provide high quality unbiased factual information.
